Senior Team Matchplay
Better news for the men's senior team who played the first round match in the above competition today away at Eaton GC. Roger Arnoll & Steve Worrall led the team out and secured the first point with a convincing 6&5 victory. They were followed by Captain Barry Wynter and Captain Elect Chas McPeake who continued their recent success in the Bert Thompson Trophy by winning another point for Didsbury. Next to secure their respective wins were Peter Young & Steve Ross and Ian Swindells & Ken Jones; which included a hole-in-one by Ian Swindells at the 4th hole. Saj Baloch & Steve Dunphy were narrowly beaten in the final game but the team result was a 1-4 victory.
I have not played Eaton GC previously, the greens were fantastic, well worth a visit.
